What this test collects

This diagnostic tool performs only the network measurements required to assess whether your connection is suitable for real-time voice traffic.

What we collect

  • Network timing measurements: latency, jitter, packet loss, packet ordering, throughput and latency under load.
  • A masked version of your public IP address (for example 203.0.113.x) and the approximate country / edge region the test reached.
  • Browser and device information relevant to troubleshooting (user agent and platform).
  • The optional details you type in: company, name, email, PBX hostname, location and reported connection type.

What we never collect

  • No microphone access and no audio of any kind.
  • No call recording and no call content.
  • No browsing history.
  • No passwords or credentials.
  • No scanning or inspection of devices on your local network.

How results are stored

Each completed test is saved with a unique Test ID (for example VOIP-2026-ABC123) so our support team can review it when you report a call-quality issue. Reports are not listed publicly and are retrieved by Test ID or by authorised support staff.

Measurement limitations

Browsers cannot send raw ICMP pings or real RTP voice packets. All timing results come from a real-time network test using numbered, timestamped frames exchanged with our measurement server. They are strong indicators of VoIP suitability, but they are not a direct RTP measurement, and results indicate rather than prove the cause of an issue.
